1. Library webpage
If you are having a problem accessing full text online articles or books, it's a good idea to start your search on library platforms:

• MultiSearch
• Databases on our website

 
2. Username & password
When you are asked to log in, use your Institutional username and password (the same login you use to log in to your DkIT email).

•    If a student add @student.dkit.ie to your username when signing in
•    If staff add @dkit.ie to your username when signing in

Make sure you are using a valid password

3. Multi-factor authentication (MFA)

Multifactor Authentication (MFA) provides increased security because instead of only using a password, a separate app on your phone is used to verify access.  

You may need to authenticate before you can access our online resources.

4. Switch browsers
If this doesn’t work, switch browsers – if an article won’t open using Chrome, try Firefox.
•    Make sure you are using the latest version of the browser.
•    Try restarting your device.

5. Delete browsing history/cache
If you still do not have access, delete your browsing history/cache

• Note: Clearing cache will delete all information on your browser e.g.
  • search history
  • frequently accessed sites
  • references saved on sites such as ZoteroBib (zbib.org).

6. Contact Library
If you are still having problems logging in, email library@dkit.ie to check if there is an issue affecting access.

7. Contact Computer Services
If you still do not get access contact Computer Services either by

•    Putting a ticket up on the IT Helpdesk
•    Emailing them at helpdesk@dkit.ie

When raising a ticket or emailing please include your contact details and as much detail as possible to assist IT technical support team in responding and resolving the issue.
