How does the hold system work?

There are certain requirements for placing a hold on library books.
A hold can be placed on a book only when all copies are borrowed. When a hold is successfully placed, you are then in a queue to borrow the book once it’s returned.
If there are copies of a book available to borrow you will be unable to place a hold. Instead, you can call into the library with your student/staff card to borrow one of the available copies.
